Hi everyone!
If you are an adventurous tourist, and if you wanna try a typical Spanish experience...
Today i'm gonna tell you a bit about: San Fermines!
This festival is really popular in whole Spain, San Fermines is held in the north, in the city of Pamplona, starts on the 6th of July and ends 14th of July. The opening of the festival is marked with a rocket fired from the city hall balcony, this act is call 'el chupinazo'
During all week of San Fermin thousands of people arriving from everywhere meeting in Pamplona to enjoy the festival and run the 'encierros'.
Is tipical in these dates to wear white clothes and red belt. If you haven't white clothes, don't worry in Pamplona you can find many stores with tipical clothes and tipical souvenirs, anyway in the moment of chupinazo all white clothes become in red clothes due people in the meeting throw away liters of wine each other for fun.
The most risky part of the encierro for all runners can be the Estafeta curve Street. Many bulls stumble and fall to the ground and can attack in violent way
Every morning at 8 o'clock, people run in front of six bulls and another six steers on the narrow streets of the old town of Pamplona..The Spanish Tv broadcast the encierro every morning during the San Fermin week.
If you wanna do it, my advice is to be fit and the most important thing, be sober! Sometimes some foreigns drunks has caused accidents in the race and people died.
Also is very popular among foreign tourists, jumping from Navarreria source. I personally i can't understand it.. because seem very reckless and dangerous.. But people love it, specially when girls jumping. do u know why?
Anyway if you don't like run the 'encierro', also you can enjoy all kind of events in the city.
Every afternoon you can see a bullfight on the Pamplona's bullring, every night a firework spectacle is held at the citadel park. Stunning!
Pamplona is a wonderful city, very beautiful...
The last day all people meet in the Townhall Square at midnight on 14 July, singing the traditional song Pobre de Mi [poor me] very popular event too.
