GRANADA

Hola!
How are you? I'm here again with a new destination ^^
An unforgettable place for your spanish tour can be Granada. It's preferable to visit in spring or summer.

그라나다는 스페인 안달루시아 지방에 위치한 그라나다 주의 주도이다. 이슬람 세력의 이베리아 반도에서의 마지막 근거지였으나, 1492년에 결국 함락되었다.

It was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Granada, and the coat of arms bears the title “Very noble, very loyal, appointed, large, famous, and heroic city of Granada.”
The most important districts are Zaidin, Albaicin, Sacromonte, Realejo, The Chana, Almanjayar, and The Cartuja.

Currently, Granada is a core receiver of tourism, because of, in addition to the monuments of the city, the proximity of theSierra Nevada ski resort, the Alpujarras mountains, and the Costa Tropical.

Among its historic buildings, the Alhambra is one of the largest in the country, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1984, together with the garden of the Generalife and the Albaicin. Granada also has the largest cathedral in the world, designed during the Spanish Renaissance.
The University of Granada is one of the preferred destinations for European students, who attend through the Erasmus program.
The town of Granada takes about 90 square kilometers and is located in the easternmost part ofGranada, near the foot of the Sierra Nevada foothills. People from Madrid and Lecrin Valley have access to the subtropical coast of Granada.

The Alhambra:

Granada has its usual quotient of churches, museums etc. typical for a southern European city. However, Granada has the Alhambra which is considered by some to be one of the 10 wonders of the world. In case you don't know, the Alhambra is a massive castle constructed over many centuries.

It consists of gardens, fortifications and sumptuous palaces.
The Alhambra was a palace, citadel, fortress, and residence of the sultans Nasrid and senior officials, servants of the court, and elite soldiers (13th and 14th centuries). There are also prominent buildings from different eras, like the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V, where the Museum of the Alhambra, with objects derived from the monument itself, and the Museum of Fine Arts.
When the Catholic Monarchs, Isabel and Ferdinand, conquered the kingdom of Granada, they expelled Boabdil, the king of Granada, who was very sad for having lost what he called “the paradise on earth.”
And when he cried with his mother and was looking back toward Granada, his mother said he was weeping like a woman and did not defend like a man.
